Independent Healthcare Properties, which is based in Ooltewah, is planning an assisted living facility in East Brainerd.
The proposal is for 260 units on 23.5 acres at the 9700 block of East Brainerd Road.
The firm is seeking approval for a special exceptions permit from the Planning Commission at a meeting on Monday at 1 p.m. at the County Courthouse.
The Regional Planning Agency staff is recommending approval.
The property is owned by Ooltewah Development LLC.
The site is currently vacant.
The final decision will be by the County Commission.
