Robert Backer Named Principal Broker Of Coldwell Banker Pryor Realty

Monday, October 1, 2018

Robert Backer has been named principal broker of Coldwell Banker Pryor Realty, Inc. He replaces Peggy Pryor, who is the founder of the firm and is retiring from the position of principal broker. In this new role, Mr. Backer is responsible for recruiting, hiring and training new and experienced real estate agents. He will also retain his listing duties as a full-time realtor.

Mr. Backer is native to the Chattanooga area and has been with Coldwell Banker Pryor Realty since he began his career in real estate in 1997. He has been the top agent in the office for the past 19 years and has consistently been a top performer both nationally and in the Chattanooga area. In 2017, he was named one of America’s most productive sales associates as a part of REAL Trends America’s Best Real Estate Agents, the annual ranking report produced by REAL Trends and sponsored by Zillow Group.

“Robert has been an important asset to Coldwell Banker Pryor Realty since the moment he first walked through the door in 1997,” said Ms. Pryor. “His positive attitude and commitment to the highest quality service for his clients have made him one of the top realtors in the Chattanooga area, and indeed the nation. With his years of experience and the attention he devotes to every aspect of the realty business, I could not have handed control of this firm to a more highly qualified individual.”

Mr. Backer is an accredited buyer’s representative, a certified relocation specialist, a certified new home specialist and holds his e-PRO certification. He serves on the board of the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors and is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Tennessee Association of Realtors.

"I truly love what I do, and after more than 20 years in the field, earning my broker’s license felt like a natural step for furthering my career,” said Mr. Backer. “My mom used to work at Pryor Realty, and I’ve spent my whole career here. I’m honored that Peggy invited me to continue her legacy as the firm’s principal broker.”

The Culture Of Policing In Chattanooga - And Response (3)

I totally agree with the sentiments expressed by Brenda Washington. Over the years, I have noticed that people tend to ignore or dismiss what she says, or attack her. This is unfortunate, because she is alerting people of the problems within the culture of policing in Chattanooga, whether it is in Hamilton County or the city of Chattanooga. There are good, honest police officers ... (click for more)
