Halbert Varnell
Halbert Varnell, 65, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018, in a local health care facility.
He attended Howard High School, and also attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Varnell; son, Brian Hall; and sisters, Cynthia Varnell and Angela Varnell.
Survivors include his fiancée, Tina Muckle; mother, Nadine Varnell; son, Maurice Harvey, all of Chattanooga; daughters, Carla Hall of Atlanta, GA and LaDana (Kelvin) Chambliss of Chattanooga; brothers, Melvin (Lisa) Varnell, Gregory (Wanda) Varnell, Kevin Varnell, and Steven (Andrea) Varnell; sisters, Terrilynn (John) Abernathy, Tonya (Tracy) Jones, Sharon Varnell, Linda Harris, and Rhonda Varnell; aunt, Evelyn Jackson all of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation is on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Friday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Burse as the eulogist. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
