Whether first graders at Soddy Elementary need kinetic sand, gel pens, clay dough, pipe cleaners, magnetic letters, dry erasers, Post Its, or other daily school supplies, the Judge David Campbell Chapter, NSDAR, were on hand to present a teaching basket filled with material needs.

Tiffany Silver’s class of 21 students, along with Soddy Elementary School’s Principal Mrs. Kimberly Roden, welcomed Regent Stacy Kehoe, First Vice Regent Susan Lindsey, Second Vice Regent Maria Wingate, and Volunteer Coordinator Mary Bob Hagmann.

The Judge David Campbell Chapter, NSDAR, supports the mission of Soddy Elementary School as it strives to develop responsible and lifelong learners by ensuring a positive, secure, and supportive learning environment that will enable the learns to make wise choices and therefore be productive citizens, said officials.  Both time and materials are offered by Judge David Campbell Chapter members.

The organization presently has six volunteers in place who serve as reading tutors in the first grade class on a weekly basis.
