Juvenile Arrested In Portland Street Shooting That Left Teen Critically Injured

Chattanooga Police have arrested the suspect in the shooting of 18-year-old Iziyah Spence on Thursday in the 2000 block of Portland Street.
 
The suspect who is a juvenile, is charged with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment. He is currently in the custody of The Juvenile Detention Center.
 
The victim was critically injured after being shot in the head.
 
At approximately 9:21 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the report of shots fired in the 2000 block of Portland Street.
 
Police were able to locate a male victim in the 500 block of North Kelly Street.
He was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
 
The victim was transported to an area hospital by Hamilton County EMS with a life-threatening injury.
