City Of Cleveland Receives 20th Consecutive Distinguished Budget Award

The City of Cleveland has received its 20th consecutive Distinguished Budget Award from the Government Finance Officers Association Of the United States and Canada. 

Mayor Tom Rowland presented the award to Shawn McKay, assistant city manager/chief financial officer and the city finance staff during the Cleveland City Council meeting on Monday.

In order to receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, as an operations guide, as a financial plan, and as a communication device.
