Jack Bennett, 83, of Rossville, went to be at peace with his Lord, loved ones and friends that passed before him on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was of the Church of God faith.

Jack was a U.S. Army Veteran, and retired from Yates Bleachery after 28 years of service. 

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Margaret Bennett; and one brother, Joe Bennett.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Cora Bennett, of Rossville; three children, Donald Joe Bennett, of Charleston, SC, Theresa Ogles, of Rossville and Jack Lamar Bennett, of Soddy-Daisy; three sisters, Ann, Jean and Faye; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb.4 from 2-7 p.m. at the funeral home, with a service of remembrance taking place at 7 p.m. in the funeral home parlor.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery, with military honors. Interment will follow.
