Terry R Cameron, of Trenton, passed away on February 21, 2018. He was an accomplished musician, music retailer and music educator. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, where he earned a degree in music. He was president/CEO of Cameron Music Inc., a business he and his father established in 1970, and where he began his lifelong career selling and teaching the instruments he loved. As a gifted guitarist he was a highly versatile and proficient performer across many musical genres, including fingerstyle and classical, having released numerous recordings. Mr. Cameron was well known in the Dade County area as a music instructor, where he had taught generations of music students. His agility and foresight as a businessman enabled him to guide his family business over the years from the early days of managing a traditional brick and mortar music store, through the rise of the digital age, ecommerce and global trade. Mr. Cameron was proud to the end of being blessed to earn a living doing what he loved. Terry had a lifelong passion for gun dogs and upland bird hunting, and had owned and trained hundreds of birddogs over his lifetime. He was a charter member of the Bible Missionary Church in Trenton.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alver Cameron and Glennie Cameron.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Cameron of Trenton; his two sons, Terrell Cameron and Byron Cameron of Trenton; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and Briar, his favorite English setter birddog.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, Feb. 25 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home, with Rev. Brian Dowd and Rev. Charles Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Saturday and noon-2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton.
