Mattie Pauline Robinson, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 in a local hospital.

She retired from Dixie Yarns after 28 years of service.  She was a charter member of New United Missionary Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robinson, Jr; sisters, Lily Hicks and Catherine Hammonds; son, Jonathan Robinson, Sr.; sons-in-law, Frank Thomas and Paul Careathers. 

Survivors include three daughters, Alice Thomas, Marissa Smith, and Johnequia Careathers, all of Chattanooga; son, Ammiel (Jennifer) Robinson of Baltimore, MD; stepsons, John Robinson of Hartford, CT and Rodderick Lomenick of Chattanooga; sister, Evelyn Bush of Cleveland, OH; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; adoptive children, Arthur Smith and Gloria Allen; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

Visitation is on Sunday, Feb. 4, from 4-6 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be on Monday, Feb. 5, at 12:30 p.m. at New United Church with Pastor Jeffrey Wilson as the eulogist. 

Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
