Alvin Lee Had Accident-Free Record During 52 Years Driving County School Bus

The County Commission on Wednesday honored Alvin Lee, who drove a county school bus for 52 years without having an accident.

"I loved my kids and took care of them," Mr. Lee said.

He said he decided it was time to retire with the perfect record intact.

Commissioner Chester Bankston, who honored Mr. Lee, said he was part of four generations operating the same bus. He said when he was a child that Mr. Lee's father was the driver.
