Bridges, Reba Ann (Benton)

Reba Ann Bridges, 90, of Benton, went to be with the Lord peacefully at her home in Benton on Thursday, March 15, 2018.  She was born on March 12, 1928 to George R. and Della Rogers.  She was a native of Polk County and a lifelong member of Zion Baptist Church.  She deeply loved her family, friends and church.  She enjoyed her Sunday School Class, singing in the church choir, attending Happy Hearts and eating at Gondolier with her grandson, Joseph.    

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, C. W. Bridges, and her parents.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Roger Morgan and Rhonda and Richard Booth; grandchildren, Joseph Burchfield, Andrew and Kelley Morgan, Leigh Anne and Brandon Calhoun; great-grandchildren, Devin Bell, McKenzie Morgan, Madilyn and Maelee Calhoun, whom she loved dearly and with all her heart; nephew and wife, Ross and Bonnie Torbett; and sister, Nola Murphy. 

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 18 at Zion Baptist Church in Benton, with Reverend Mike Hazelwood officiating.  Interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 19 in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  A white dove release ceremony conclude the services.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, March 18 at the church, prior to the service.

Her children and grandchildren express special thanks to her church family and friends, for their care and concern over the past few weeks, and to Hospice of Chattanooga for their tender care.
