A record amount of "In God We Trust" license plates were sold in February.

County Clerk Bill Knowles said, “Last month was a record month for issuing the special ‘In God We Trust’ vehicle license plate. 700 motorists in February pushed the total number to 4,080 that has now been issued in Hamilton County.

"The law creating the ‘In God We Trust’ plate last July calls for a one-time $2.00 fee in addition to normal registration fees when swapping an existing tag, renewing a current registration, or making application for a vehicle title.”
