United Tax Specialists on Brainerd Road was damaged by an electrical fire Friday evening.
The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a possible structure fire at 5305 Brainerd Road at 6:58 p.m. on Friday.
Battalion Chief David Thompson Jr. said that six fire companies responded to the scene. Upon arrival, Chief Thompson found moderate smoke in the business.
The smoke was traced to a small electrical fire in the air conditioning system.
The fire was extinguished by the building occupants with a portable fire extinguisher.
The building was ventilated by CFD personnel using fans.
There were no injuries reported.
