Marc Gravitt Is The Best Choice For Register

Wednesday, April 11, 2018

I have had the privilege to know Marc Gravitt for almost 30 years, and his family even longer.  I've had dealings with Marc in business and he was always honest and a man of his word.

Like myself, Marc is a veteran who served in uniform to defend our great country.  Marc has also served as my East Ridge city councilman, vice mayor, and as state representative.

During Marc's time as state representative, I've had to ask his assistance twice in dealing with the State of Tennessee.  After trying to resolve issues with the State of Tennessee and getting no results.  I called Marc for help as a last resort.  Every time I called, Marc answered the phone, listened to my issue, and within 48 hours my issues were resolved with the State of Tennessee.  That is truly what public serve is all about.

Marc has served the citizens of Hamilton County and the State of Tennessee with honor, truthfulness and dedication to duty.  Marc will make and excellent Hamilton County Register of Deeds.

Lone Voice Against Another PILOT

Thank you Commissioner Tim Boyd for recognizing the con foisted upon the taxpayers by the Patten Tower project. I have railed against these PILOTs for years knowing full well that these tax deferments will be made up sooner than later on the backs of Hamilton County taxpayers. Unfortunately, you were the lone voice in this vote. Ron Ray (click for more)

Olympic Moments

Excellent story by Roy Exum on Jesse Owens' performance at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin. I would only add that I think the 1980 Miracle on Ice in Lake Placid when our amateur hockey team upset the professional Soviets ranks right up there with Mr Owens' record setting Olympic feats. Most of the time sports are just a game to be enjoyed and get a brief respite from the ... (click for more)
