NCBW Hosts 17th Annual Black Pioneer Women Of Excellence Awards

  • Wednesday, April 18, 2018

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Chattanooga Chapter, Inc. will honor three community leaders at its 17th Annual Black Pioneer Women of Excellence Awards Ceremony on Saturday, April 28, at 11:30 a.m. at Hawkinsville Missionary Baptist Church.

This year’s honorees are Dorothy Lee Grisham for achievements in Entrepreneurship; Mildred Moreland for achievements in Health; and Grace Lay Ragland for achievements in Education. The theme for the event is “Beacons of Brilliance.”

These women are truly remarkable as each has been role models and mentors to young women and peers alike; they have been firm believers that with hard work, faith, perseverance, dignity and prayer goals can be achieved, said officials.

The Black Pioneer Women of Excellence Awards Ceremony honors Black women who have made accomplishments in the fields of health; education; entrepreneurship; community development; religion; politics; social services; government services; or community services/volunteerism.
