Once again the Fort Payne Motor Speedway is hosting some of the best dirt racers in the country as the United Championship Racing Alliance returns this Saturday night for the “Fort Payne 40” $2,000 to-WIN event.

Races kick off at 7 p.m. CST for the $16,000 Championship season with a unique opportunity for many top ranked 604/Crate race teams returning since only a handful of weeks to tour was previously at the 1/3 mile clay banked oval.

Marvin Ford has grown a stout onset of competitors that include previous winner of May’s “Blood, Sweat & Cheers” race 14-year-old Sam Seawright.

The Northeast Alabama territory racers will be hard to beat, including three time UCRA race winner Kasey Hall from nearby Geraldine, Al. who has been dominant in Super Late Model competition this season. Anthony White of Clinton, Tn. holds the record of second most UCRA wins with four total and seems poised to chase the $5,000 championship that Rusty Ballenger has horded for the past two years.

Cleveland’s “Purple Punk” Jimmy Elliott is expected to bring his “Mohawk Nation” tribe that should also bare witness to the Courtney Clan (Michael and 17-year-old nephew Kyle “Kidd-Quik”) who leads the alliance points after two races.

This year's Rookie of the Year $1,000 chase is on between “The BlueRidge Bandit” Devin Stuart from Georgia and Knoxville's Michael Courtney, respectively.

For more information visit UCRAracing.com or FortPayneMotorSpeedway.com. FPMS raced ay phone number is (706) 346-3385 and the track is at 4365 County Road 72, Fort Payne, Al.

Tickets are $15 general admission and $35 for pits.

Gates open Saturday at 4 p.m. CST.
