Jason Matthew “Matt” Heiden

Jason Matthew “Matt” Heiden, cherished son, husband, father, brother and friend has left our world so unexpectedly and far too soon, in the early hours of Sunday, June 17, 2018.

Matt was born on Feb. 24, 1972, to Gary and Connie Heiden in Moore, Ok. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Central State University in Edmond, Ok. Matt’s career took his family to Chattanooga, and most recently Rossville, where loving friendships have formed and remain.

Matt will be remembered for his quick wit and easy smile, his caring nature, eagerness to help others when needed, and creative and adventurous spirit.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 22 years, Tina (Baker) Heiden; his two beloved sons, Perry and Garrison; his parents, Gary and Connie; his brother, John Heiden and wife Heidi, their three sons, Ryan, Evan, and Owen; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family and numerous friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at Christ United Methodist Church, 8645 East Brainerd Road, on SundayJuly 8, at 2 p.m., with Pastor David Hall officiating. Immediately following the service, the family will host a celebration of Matt's life at 6988 Ski Club Road, Harrison. Bring your swimsuits, fishing gear, and sunscreen and enjoy Sunday afternoon with the family the way Matt did. Dress casually if you wish for the service, and food will be served at the lake.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages consideration for the children’s future via the long-term fund that has been set up with:
