Albert Hunter White played his final drum set on July 11, 2018, passing away too soon at the age of 36.

Known for his compassionate heart, charismatic and engaging nature, fierce loyalty and vibrant spirit, he will be remembered by all for his contagious smile, incredible talent and tender soul.

His grandfathers, Donald Fredrick White, Jr., Albert Womack Cook and Dr. Richard Cormier, preceded him in death.

Left to treasure his memory are his mother, Beth Cook Moore; father, Donald Fredrick White, III; step-father, Harry G. Moore; brothers, Thomas Sims Moore and Wyatt DuBose Moore; sister, Frances Moore Graham (Todd); grandmothers, Jo Jo Cormier and Betty Anne Cook Hill (Mark); uncles, Paul White (Lori) and Dan Cook (Kim); aunts, Amy Cook (Greg VanButin, Shelby White Montague (Carrington) and many cousins and extended family. 

Totally self taught, Hunter was known as the “go to” drummer on the Chattanooga music scene, having contributed his skills to many award winning bands including The FridgE; Digital Butter; Microdhats; Amber Fults and the Ambivalent Lovers; Function with a C. In addition, he brought his vibrant and energetic service to many Chattanooga restaurants, most recently as an essential part of the legendary Tremont Tavern.

A native of Lookout Mountain, Hunter was a graduate of The Fairyland Elementary School, The McCallie School, where he excelled at wrestling, and Gainesville State College.

Services will be held on Friday, July 13, at 1:30 p.m. at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 211 Franklin Road, Lookout Mountain, Tn.
