Thomas Jr. White, 58, was arrested early Saturday morning after his description matched a burglar seen in a woman's home on South Beech Street.

The victim told police she woke up to a rustling in her room and saw a black male with one of the family’s laptop computer bags over his shoulder. She said the man reached up and turned the light off in her room before closing her door and leaving the home.

Police observed White traveling on foot toward South Orchard Knob shortly after the incident. They said he had a crowbar shoved between his pants and underwear, held in by his belt. The victim identified the defendant and chose to prosecute. Officers could not locate the laptop bag.

White is charged with aggravated burglary and possession of burglary tools.
