Freedom Run 5K Set For Sept. 22

The Freedom Run 5K is for running enthusiasts, for those in recovery, for survivors of those who have struggled with addiction, their families and supporters, and their caregivers. Runners may choose to run in honor of, or in memory of someone in recovery. 

The run, on Saturday, Sept. 22, will bring hope and inspiration to those directly benefiting from this event; the residents of Adult & Teen Challenge Midsouth, said officials. 

The run is a flat, out and back 5K, for all levels of participants. The race begins at the Pavilion #4 on the Tennessee Riverwalk and returns back to the finish line at the pavilion. There will also be a one mile walk. 

The event will be timed and certified by Endurance Sports Management. 

Early packet and T-shirt pickup will be Thursday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Adult & Teen Challenge Campus

Race day registration and packet pick-up will be Saturday, Sept. 22, at 8 a.m.  The race will start at 9 a.m. An awards ceremony will be held at 11:15 a.m. 

Participants should sign up before Sept. 5 to make sure to get a T-shirt. Every participant will receive a medal.
