Boyd-Buchanan Golf Teams Qualify For State Tournament

The Boyd-Buchanan boys and girls golf teams both qualified for the TSSAA state golf tournament to be played at Willowbrook in Manchester on October 1-2. 

The Boyd-Buchanan boys finished in second place in the region which was played at Bear Trace with a score of 299. Christian Academy of Knoxville won with a score of 293.


The Buc boys were led by Hayes Wood (74). Bowman Blocker, Trent Cooper and Riley Covington each had a score of 75. 

The Boyd-Buchanan girls won the region with a score of 157, followed by CAK girls with a score of 171.
Lydia Campbell was the low medalist for the girls with a score of 76. Zacori Hill had a score of 81. This is the tenth year in a row for the Lady Bucs to advance to the state. The fifth year in a row for Lydia Campbell and Zacori Hill.
