Funeral Is Tuesday For Tina King, Who Died In Flash Flood At Soddy Daisy

The funeral will be Tuesday for Tina “Momma Tina” King, 61, who died in a flash flood in Soddy Daisy on Wednesday.

Her parents were Bill “Buddy” and Willie Mae King and her brother was Charles “Bob” King. 

She is survived by Paul “Gene” Burton, her husband of 30 years; her daughter, Christina Blakemore (Steven); four sons, Charles “Ray” Blakemore (Amber), Bobby Blakemore (Tina), Bryan Blakemore and Paul “PJ” Burton; two brothers, Hank Wolford and Billy Wayne King; one sister, Viola “Boots King” Borruff; her granddaughter, Kaylee Blakemore "and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving family members and friends."

It was said of her, "She dedicated her life to raising her children and those who knew and loved her will miss her dearly. She will always be remembered as a caring and loving person who put the needs of others first."

The family will receive friends and family at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace on Monday from 5-7 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at Lane Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Chattanooga Memorial Park.m.
