Acclaimed harpist and volunteer Brenda Thoreson plays for the residents of The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Collegedale twice a month.

Ms. Thoreson has played with the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera and boasts a repertoire of songs that range from classical and love songs to show tunes and seasonal melodies.

“Our residents love listening to her soothing instrument,” says Michele Gunther, the Lantern program director at the memory care community.
“We consider ourselves lucky to have her playing at The Lantern.”
