Darrell Wright
Darrell Wright, 72, of Hixson, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 16, 2019.
He was a member of Cross of Calvary Community Church. Darrell retired from TVA as a loyal employee. He was a longtime entrepreneur in the Hixson community, loving husband and father, and held a very special place in his heart for his grandson, Cannon.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Theodore Wright; mother, Lillie M. Wright; brother, James Larry Wright; and nephew, Dennis Wright.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wanda Jewell Wright; children, John G. Wright, Suzanne Wright Harris, and Tracie (David) Lester; brother, Jerry (Joy) Wright, Tommy (Annette) Wright; brother-in-law Darle (Beverly) Jordan; one grandson, Cannon Patrick Wright; as well as niece and nephews, James “Jimmy” (Angela) Wright, Jonathan (Kelley) Wright, Darrell D. Wright, Corey (Kayce) Lester, Pete (Michelle) Jordan, and Jennifer (Robbie) Croxall.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, from 4-8 p.m. and Friday, March 22, from 12-1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson.
The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. on Friday with interment to follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
