Mario Danyell Fitch is facing burglary charges after police said he stole business checks from a home, then was caught on camera cashing one of the checks.

Fitch, 21, is charged with aggravated burglary, theft of property over $10,000, theft of property under $1,000 and forgery.

The homeowner said he received notification from his bank that one of his checks was cashed for $650. He said the man, who was out of town for several days around the Fourth, also learned that someone had broken into his home on Kirkman Road.

He said items missing included a book of business checks, cash, a watch, a gold bracelet with diamonds and rubies and other jewelry. The stolen items were valued at over $14,000. None of the items have been recovered.

The man said his banker told him that there was video of the man who cashed his check with his name forged. The check was made out to Mario Fitch.

Police said the individual in the bank video was Fitch.
