Cynthia Regina Cantrell-Williams, 46, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, June 30,
2019 at her residence in Douglasville, Ga. She was a 1991 graduate of Brainerd High
School. She earned a master’s degree from The University of Tennessee Chattanooga. Cynthia
was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church and served on the usher board. She was a
member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mattie Ella Cantrell, Jr. and grandmother, Jessie Hicks.
Survivors include her sons,Karion Williams and Torian Williams, both of Douglasville; brothers, Anthony (Alberta) Cantrell, Sr., of Chattanooga, John Curtis Cantrell, III, of Atlanta and Alfred Cantrell, Sr., of Chattanooga; uncles, Jesse (Leslie) Burgress, of Chattanooga, Charles (Panky) Burgress, of Huntsville, Al. and Jerry (Ann) Green, of Town Creek, Al.; aunt, Betty Jean Joiner, of
Chattanooga; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, July 5 from 5-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 6 at 1 p.m. in the chapel, with Pastor Gwaine Davis as the eulogist. Burial in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
