Upcoming street closures in Chattanooga: 

Saturday, Jan. 18

Chattanooga Women's Rally - Georgia Avenue between MLK Jr. Boulevard and E 10th Street, also including E 10th Street between Market Street and Georgia Avenue, will be closed Saturday from 5 a.m.-7 p.m. for the Chattanooga Women's Rally in Coolidge Park. 

Monday, Jan. 20

Martin Luther King Jr Birthday Parade - Georgia Avenue will be closed Monday beginning at noon until 3 p.m. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard will be closed from Georgia Avenue to Peeples Street from 1-3 p.m. for the Annual MLK Jr Birthday Parade. Detours will be posted.

McKamey Animal center offers help to victims of domestic violence by providing shelter to their pets while they seek shelter themselves. McKamey has been supporting victims of domestic violence since 2015 when they received a grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga to provide kennels for emergency boarding and medical care to pets of those escaping a violent situation. ... Georgia Has 43 More Coronavirus Deaths To Go To 412; Cases Reach 10,566; Whitfield Has 21 Cases

Georgia state health officials said Thursday that another 10 people in the state have died from the coronavirus since Wednesday, bringing the total to 379.
