Volkswagen Academy Programs Holds Open House; Accepting Applications For The Fall

  • Tuesday, January 21, 2020

The Volkswagen Academy Open House is scheduled for January 30, from 5-7 p.m. for students and families interested in the program.

"If you like working with robotics, technology, cars or just working with your hands as you learn, Volkswagen Academy may be for you," officials said.

Students in the program get to work with robots, enjoy hands-on learning with cutting-edge technology and get experience with a global company right here in Chattanooga.

Volkswagen apprenticeships are two-year programs that involve a Robotronics Technology Expert apprenticeship that combines academics with actual training to prepare for a future career at Volkswagen Chattanooga.  Volkswagen Academy is currently recruiting for the 2020 class and will accept onsite applications.

"The onsite high school program, Mechatronics Akademie, allows 11th and 12th grade students to complete their high school education at the state-of-the-art Volkswagen Academy and prepares graduates to take the next step into the Volkswagen Apprenticeship program," officials said.

Mechatronics is accepting applications now for this fall.

The Volkswagen Academy Open House is located at 7469 Volkswagen Dr., Chattanooga.
