Los Mich is a new Mexican Restaurant opening at 4850 Highway 58, Suite 189, in a neighborhood retail center.
The Chattanooga Beer Board has approved a license to sell consumer beer at the restaurant to accompany the food it serves.
Unknown Caller bar has had a change of ownership to Giancarlo Fernandez and Kenneth Newburger. A beer license in their names will be dependent upon passing a final building inspection, after which the city’s regulatory bureau can approve the permit.
The bar first opened in 2018 as London Calling located at 715 Cherry St. It is open Sunday through Thursday from 6 p.m. until 1a.m. On Friday and Saturday hours are from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Customers can get classic cocktails or the bar’s own creations which change every week. There are also local beers, wine and cheese boards. There are booths inside and an alley patio all bathed in a pink light. The bar does not take reservations, so it is first come, first served.
Shop the Market LLC, the organizers of Smart Music Project have two events scheduled in July. The first will be “Firefly Twilight Market” on Saturday, July 12 at 92 Choo Choo Ave. from 5-10 p.m. There will be live music during an evening market featuring local artisans selling juried art work and handcrafted goods, jewelry, and food trucks and tents with beer available for purchase.
The second Smart Music Project will be the following weekend on Saturday, July 19 from 5-1- p.m. The “Hot as Hades Market,” also at the Chattanooga, 92 Choo Choo Ave. There will be live music that evening and the market will feature spicy produce with as a big selection of hot peppers such as serrano jalapeno, habanero and ghost peppers. There will also be a variety of spicy condiments for sale including barbecue sauces and mustards. Vendors will be selling spicy appetizers, main courses, desserts and there will be live entertainment.
The Hixson restaurant Chick In, 5513 Highway 153, has been approved for a beer license. This restaurant is known for fried chicken and homestyle comfort food. Beer will now be available to accompany the updated menu. The menu includes several new items and there are wraps and rolls and burgers. Hours are daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Yummy Thai Restaurant and Bar at 200 Manufacturers Road is in the One North Shore Condominiums near Renaissance Park. It sells both consumer and carry-out beer. The food is genuine Thai dishes such as Pad Thai, Thai Fried Rice and Red or Green Curry. There are also noodles, Pho, Salads and Soups. And there are vegetarian options and quick bites are also offered. The restaurant is open from Tuesday – Sunday from noon until 3 p.m. and then from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the evenings. Carryout is available until 8:30 p.m. The restaurant also does catering.
Beef O’ Brady’s at 5958 Snow Hill Road in Ooltewah is billed as a family style casual restaurant and sports bar with big screen TVs. In addition to dining in, there is also take-out and delivery, curb-side pickup and catering. There is also outdoor seating and a full bar.
