Devin Crockran

Devin Keion Crockran, son of Evalyn Clark and Brian Crockran, was born on April 21, 2001, and passed on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at the young age of 19.

Devin was a 2020 graduate of Central High School, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. While in high school, he played football. His favorite football team was the Louisiana State University Tigers. Devin was best known for his sense of humor and love of pranks. Making people smile was his passion. He was also passionate about spending time with family. Devin loved to see his mom and brother Alan happy. Despite their age difference, Devin loved spending time with Alan and spent many days after school playing basketball and video games with him. During Devin’s free time, he enjoyed frequent visits to his great-grandmothers’ houses and spent time with cousins and close friends. His cousin Brayden joined him in his pranks and grew to become more of a brother than a cousin. Devin was keenly interested in the world around him and enjoyed trips to the beach with his mom, brother, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Devin’s big hugs and handsome smile will be missed by all who knew him.

Devin is now reunited in heaven, with his grandmother, Linda Yvette Franklin; great-grandfather, William Davis, Sr.; stepfather, Timothy Shropshire, Sr.

He is survived by his parents, Evalyn Clark and Brian Crockran; siblings, Alan Shropshire, J’len Crockran, Timothy Shropshire, II, Timia Shropshire, and Tanesha Townsend. He will also forever be remembered by grandparents, Russell and Tracie Clark Jr., James and Diane Massey, Sr., and Willie Franklin, Jr.; great-grandparents, Charsie Fletcher, Nellie Davis, and Ronald and Tawana Waldrop Sr.; uncles, Russell (Marlita) Clark, III, Antoine Williams, James Massey, Jr., and Taylor (Sade) Clark; aunts, Andrea Clark, Sadie Denise Crockran, and Nina Massey; several cousins. He will also be missed by godmother, Consuela Bryant-Princivil; close cousin, Brayden Clark; close friends, Trinity Bennett, Orlando Gearing, Isaiah Hayes, Chance Martin, Tony Poole, Marquis Ray, Bailey Sublett, and many other friends and family.

Public viewing will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Sunday, May 2, at the funeral home, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service.

Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 423 622-9995.
