Paul Irvin Chatfield, 75, of Cleveland, passed away on May 8, 2021. He was born on March 31, 1946 to the late Clyde and Deloris Chatfield. He loved old cars, especially his ’66 Chevy Pickup that he took to car shows. Paul also enjoyed camping and vacationing with his family. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam era aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Gary Chatfield.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 52 years, Evelyn Marlene Chatfield; children, Stephen Chatfield (Christie), Tonia Watson (Tim), Tamai Oatman (Shawn) and Tom Chatfield; grandchildren, Nate and Nick; step-grandchildren, Audrey and Dane; and siblings, Janet Liggitt (Dean), Keith Chatfield, Jean Pullman, Sheila Knight (David) and Mary Myers. In addition to these, Paul leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday May 13 at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the service at 4 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Liberty Gospel Tabernacle Cemetery following the service.
