Gracie Jaqueline “Jackie” McPherson
Gracie Jaqueline “Jackie” McPherson, age 83 departed from this life on Thursday, July 22, 2021.
Jackie was a lifetime member or the Standifer Gap SDA Church. She was involved with the
church and church school in her earlier years. She was a supervisor for McKee Foods for many
years; she enjoyed her job. She was always busy doing something for someone she loved.
Baking for people was one of those things she loved and she was very good at it. She really
enjoyed a good scrabble game with an ice cold Dr. Pepper.
She was preceded in death by parents Jack and Willowdean Kelly, step grandson Mikey
McPherson, first husband and father of her children Jerry Gentry, husband Jim McPherson and
step-daughter whom she loved Joyce McPherson.
She is survived by her beloved sister Sharon Coulter, daughter Tonya and Eric Dunn, son Chuck
and Zinda Gentry, Jimmy and Sally McPherson, Janice and Gary Edgemond, 14 grandchildren
and 16 great-grandchildren.
There will be a small graveside service at 11 a.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Collegedale
Cemetery with Dr. Gary Edgemond officiating.
In lieu of flowers she has requested for donations be made to St. Jude, in memory of Mikey
McPherson.
