Bill Kuehn
William George “Bill" Kuehn Jr., 93, formerly of Malvern and West Chester, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at his home in Hixson, Tennessee.
He was born in Chicago, on Valentine's Day, 1928 to the late William George and Corinne Bumstead Kuehn.
Bill graduated in 1946 from Lane Technical High School in Chicago and then served two years in the Army Air Corps in MacDill Field, FL. While attending Mc Cormac Business School, he met Priscilla Swager, the love of his life and they were married August 5, 1950. Bill worked at and retired from Container Corporation of America; first in Chicago and then transferred to Malvern PA in 1961. He and Priscilla raised three children; Kenneth (Valerie) Bowling Green KY, Michael (Ileana) West Chester PA and Kathryn West, Signal Mtn TN.
He was a lifetime member of the Kiwanis Club of West Chester and taught Sunday School at the United Methodist Church in both Paoli and Malvern. He was always an avid golfer and enjoyed learning to fly in his seventies.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, a daughter in law Deborah Wilbur Kuehn and son in law Danny Thomas “Tommy" West.
His memories will be cherished by his wife Priscilla of 71 years, his children, his six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren: Kerry (Jenn) Harper and Devyn Kuehn, Matthew (Raechel) Lucy Kuehn, Kaylene Kerr, Trey Kerr, Lisa (Bill) Ryan Silvestri and Jared (Brandi) Cassandra, Sebastian and Darien Kerr.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
