Dorothy Holdiman
Dorothy Francis Holdiman, 93, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021.
Dorothy absolutely loved life. She enjoyed traveling, ballroom dancing and music. She wrote many spiritual hymns throughout her life and had a strong faith and love in the Lord. Dorothy was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Martin Harris and Emma Harris, brothers, James Martin Harris Jr., Richard Harris, former husbands, Paul Denton, Albert Holdiman, Charles Vess, son, Paul Denton Jr., grandsons, Chuck Lynn and Curtis Lynn.
Survivors include her children, James (Joyce) Denton, Brenda (Donnie) Howard, Larry (Karen) Denton, Sheila (Donnie) Lynn and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, in the funeral home with Reverend Sam Cravatt officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga and a special thanks to Michelle, Lora and Einre for their love and care.
