Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy hosted the CGLA Holiday Classic Vex Robotics Tournament on Saturday on the CGLA campus, at the Hutton Gymnasium.

CGLA faculty member Mrs. Cristol Kapp, VEX Tournament director, noted that 33 teams participated and with such great success, the school anticipates hosting additional tournaments in the future. “This year we are re-focusing on growing our strategies that promote STEM careers particularly for our CGLA young ladies, but to also promote partnership in our community and region.”

The tournament drew teams locally, as well as across the state.

The Excellence Award and Tournament Champion Award went to Franklin Road Academy’s RoboPanthers-Unknown Tennessee Alliance, along with the Robot Skills Champion Award.  Tournament Champion Award was also earned by Brentwood Academy’s Iron Eagles-Echelon and the Judges Award went to Chattanooga Christian’s Eviction Notice.
