Cesar Oandasan Pascua of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away on June 20, 2022, at the age of 76, in Biloxi, Mississippi. His final days were spent surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Cesar was born on Nov. 1, 1945 in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines to the late Vicenta and Silverio Pascua. He attended Feati University in the Philippines, and graduated in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. While attending college, he met his soulmate, Heidi. They wed in 1970 and immigrated to the United States in 1977 and started a family in San Francisco the following year.

He worked as an engineer for Bechtel in San, Francisco, Ca., for eight years before relocating to Decatur, Al., where he began his career with Tennessee Valley Authority. Cesar and his family resided in Decatur for 10 years before moving to Chattanooga, and he retired from TVA in 2007.  

Cesar enjoyed spending time with his family. His grandchildren brought him so much joy and laughter.  He also enjoyed traveling the world with Heidi and many of their lifelong friends ("the Barkada").

He was a brilliant, hard-working man, and would do anything to help his family and friends. He was full of humor, sharp-witted and created laughter wherever he went.  He willl surely be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Heidi; three children, Oliver Pascua (Emily) of Ooltewah, Janine Howard (Andrew) of Ooltewah, Laura Henton (Bryant) of Eugene, Or.; six grandchildren, Alex and Cal Pascua, Olivia and Jackson Howard, Cameron and Ava Henton; and siblings, Leonila (Rogelio) Guerrero of Walnut, Romarico (Marissa) Pascua of Chula Vista, Ca.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins from around the world.

The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, at the East Brainerd Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 27, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 501 S. Moore Road, in Chattanooga. Interment will take place at Hamilton Memorial Gardens- 5351 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.

Arrangements are by the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 8214 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
