Paw Palooza Is Saturday At Coolidge Park

  • Thursday, June 23, 2022

McKamey Animal Center will host the first Paw Palooza Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Coolidge Park. It will feature vendors, food trucks, dog games, and more in celebration of pet lovers throughout the city.

MAC's Adoption Center will be closed to the public on Saturday but will have adoptable dogs on site at Paw Palooza for people to adopt that day.

Register here for the fundraising walk across Walnut Street Bridge. The support will help MAC save over 4,200 dogs and cats this year by protecting them, providing shelter, care and love until they can find their homes. Prizes are available for the top fundraisers. Registration is only required for those in the fundraising walk portion of the day. The festival portion of the event is a free community event.

There will also be a lure course, courtesy of Rotten Dog Sports Lodge, doggy games and activities, as well as shaded areas and a splash zone to keep them cool and refreshed. While dogs aren't typically allowed in Coolidge park, MAC has special permission to have dogs there for the day.

As for the humans, there will be eats and drinks from local food trucks, a beer garden for attendees 21 years of age and older, and shopping from more than 30 local vendors.

MAC will also be hosting pet adoptions and sharing more about the services offered at MAC with highlights from Animal Protection Services, Fostering, Volunteering, and more.
