Scenic City Women’s Network announces two-time Grammy nominated gospel singer Nicole C. Mullen as guest speaker and performer for the 2023 Praise! Breakfast on April 13. The breakfast will be held from 7-9 a.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center, 1 Carter Plaza in Chattanooga. Doors open at 6:30 a.m.

“'Real and Radiant,' Nicole’s message of heartache and healing, speaks to the power of redemption and forgiveness made possible only by our Lord and Savior,” says Renee Nail, executive director of SCWN, “It is with great honor that we share Nicole’s amazing talent and passion for God’s love as we aim to 'Encourage, Equip and Energize' Christian working women in our community."

By tradition, the annual Praise! Breakfast includes the presentation of the prestigious Lydia Award.

Officials said, "Lydia, an entrepreneur, was a seller of purple.

Purple cloth in ancient days was a symbol of wealth. A confident, successful businesswoman who sold luxury goods to the elite and the powerful, Lydia knew there was more to life. It is here where Lydia’s heart was changed by God to hear the call of Jesus. Lydia was the Apostle Paul’s first European convert and provided support to him. When the heart of a working woman is opened to the Gospel, she can impact the world.

"In the spirit of Lydia and her extraordinary life and influence, SCWN honors an extraordinary Christian working woman – a modern day Lydia. She is chosen as someone who has exhibited a lifetime of mature Christian faith, enthusiasm for life, positively impacting lives and making a difference in the world around her, and being an encourager to other Christian working women.

"The SCWN Lydia honoree is a woman that demonstrates leadership, dedication and faithfulness. Nita Tin, Christian counselor, speaker and writer, will receive year’s nomination. Ms. Tin has been the administrator of Tin Laser Vision, her husband's medical practice, for more than 45 years. She is a Christian counselor, and for 43 years has been an avid speaker, writer, Bible teacher, discipleship and conference leader and encourager. She is always pointing people to Jesus. Her passion is to help believers to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and to encourage them to walk daily in the love and freedom lavished by her Heavenly Father on all Christ followers.

"She is currently working on her memoir, “Heartbeat of a Survivor,” an epic love story of her life that captures her journey to finding faith and freedom, and ultimately finding God's peace and love."

“Nita’s testimony and love for Jesus reaches throughout Chattanooga and beyond. She has spent her life ‘Living for Jesus’ in terms of mentoring and discipling others individually and in group settings, leading conferences, speaking to faith-based groups and in her church,” says Renee Nail, executive director of SCWN. “She is the epitome of a Christian working woman and has made great impact in Kingdom expansion.”

Individual admission is $35, and tables of eight are available for $280. Sponsorships are available starting at $500. Space is limited. Register online at SCWN.org, or call 423-698-6262.
