Roller Skaters And Gal Pals Invited To Galentine’s Day Disco In Collegedale

  • Thursday, January 26, 2023

Roller Skaters and Gal Pals alike can join on Monday, Feb. 13, at a Galentine’s Day Disco for ages 18 and older. Participants are encouraged to bust out their skates and enjoy an evening with their gals on a pop up skating rink. Shop vendors such as Forever Golden for permanent jewelry, Abuelita’s Seasons for a taco treat, and the Appaloosa Moon for mocktails. There will also be karaoke.

“As Leslie Knope said on the show Parks & Recreation, ‘February 14th, Valentine’s Day, is about romance. But February 13th, Galentine’s Day, is about celebrating lady friends.’ So, we hope to see many gal pals, both skaters and non-skaters, to experience our vendors and all the activities we have in store.” said Christina Clark, Collegedale Parks and Recreation supervisor.

Pre-registration is required to attend and space is limited. To register for the Galentine’s Day Disco, go to collegedaleparksandrec.com. There is a $5 entrance fee per gal and certain activities provided by a variety of vendors will have additional charges. The event will be from 7-9 p.m. at Founders Hall at the Collegedale Commons.

“We are thrilled to offer this new event for a spin on the normal Valentine’s Day offerings," said Ms. Clark. "We’re providing something special for the women who would like to celebrate their lady friends. We hope many of the gals will join us in their best Disco outfit as we will crown the evening’s Disco Queen.”
