Winter Skating at Stable 41 is a new twist on generational fun where you can glide through some magical moments as you create lifelong memories. Stable 41 is in the heart of Fort Oglethorpe’s historic district, just a block off Highway 27 at 214 1st St. in Fort Oglethorpe.
“Our rink is perfect for this area because it’s under our Stable 41 Pavilion, so you can skate no matter the weather. It is a great atmosphere for families to spend time together to celebrate this special time of the year,” said Molly Huhn, Fort Oglethorpe’s city manager.
Officials said, "Winter Skating at Stable 41 is not ice; it is a superior synthetic surface, which looks and feels like ice but allows skating to happen anywhere, anytime in any climate.
This type of material is used worldwide, including the Olympic Stadium in Mexico City, is environmentally friendly, carbon neutral and made of recyclable material."
“The cost to skate is only $10 per person, including skates," said Fort Oglethorpe’s Economic Development Director Taylor Hutwagner, “but if you have ice skates, chances are you can use those instead.”
The admission price includes up to 90 minutes of skating. Skating sessions begin on even hours. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the gate, with various concessions available. Purchase tickets and plan your skating time at winterskate41.com. Winter Skating at Stable 41 is open daily except Mondays through Jan. 31, 2024.
