Erlanger welcomes Dr. Margaret Lohf and Matthew Rump to the Erlanger team.
Margaret Lohf, MD, is a board certified family medicine doctor joining Erlanger Primary Care – Hayesville. She graduated with honors from Clemson University in Clemson, S.C., with a bachelor’s degree in Language and International Health. Afterward, she attended the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC, where she received her medical degree. She completed her family medicine residency at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC.
Dr. Lohf has volunteered with several organizations where she has utilized her fluency in Spanish to aid in patient care, such as the MUSC student-run CARES Clinic on “Spanish Nights” and as a medical clinic volunteer in Matagalpa, Nicaragua in the emergency department. Matthew Rump is a physician assistant joining Erlanger Express Care – Hayesville. He graduated from Georgia State University in Atlanta, with his bachelor's and master's in neuroscience. He earned his physician assistant degree from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Al. Mr. Rump has been published multiple times for research on chemical senses and the brain. He has experience in emergency medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and as a substance and mental health counselor.
