Native Of Chattanooga Lived Throughout The U.S. And Europe

Patricia Casey Armstrong, 93, a native of Chattanooga, passed away on October 31, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard L. Armstrong Jr., father, William C. Casey, mother, Mildred D. Casey, and brother, Donald F. Casey.

Patty is survived by her three children, Brian Armstrong, William Armstrong, and Ann Rockett (Armstrong); her three beloved grandchildren, Margaret Armstrong, Katherine Rockett, and William Rockett; her son-in-law, Raymond Armstrong; her niece, Maureen (Casey) Ewell; and her nephews, Stephen and Kevin Casey.

Patty was born and raised in Chattanooga, and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1948. She married Willard Armstrong in 1951, and together they travelled and lived in the U.S. and Europe before settling in Signal Mountain upon retirement. After 53 wonderful years together, Willard passed away and Patty moved to South Carolina to be close to her grandchildren. In July 2023, she returned home to Signal Mountain and later passed away peacefully at her home at Alexian Village.

Patty will be laid to rest with her husband at Mount Olivet Cemetery. There will be a funeral Mass on Dec. 20, at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 501 South Moore Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421 with a graveside service for the burial/internment following the Mass.
