Callie Chapman
Callie Chapman, 91, was born on September 11, 1931, to the late Albert Miller and Rosetta Stewart in Huntsville, Alabama. She was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 15, 2023.
Callie Sue Chapman was a mother, a mentor, and a prayer warrior to many in the Chattanooga community. She started sharing God’s Word in her own backyard on 8th street with her 10 children and their neighborhood friends. Later, Mrs. Callie Sue would become a missionary for First Presbyterian Church; where the late Ben Hayden supported her efforts to uplift the community for more than 30 years. Her devotion to spreading the Word of God was unmatched.
Mrs. Callie Sue’s best time was spent sharing Bible stories in back yards with Child Evangelism, schools, Sunday school, and with those who needed assistance. As Inner-City Ministry’s Director of Mercy, she was Christ’s “boots on the ground.” Her passion to ensure God’s love has be shown to everyone through providing resources such as clothing, food, shelter, a smile, hug and always the plan of salvation.
Mrs. Callie Sue Chapman was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and follower of Christ until the Lord called her home.
