Pamela Fields
The second quarterly dinner meeting for the Greater Chattanooga Navy League Council will be held on Thursday, April 18, starting at 6 p.m. for the social hour, and then promptly starting at 6:30 p.m. for dinner at Logan's Roadhouse, 504A Northgate Mall. The guest speaker will be Pamela Fields. Mrs. Fields serves as the vice president of the Chattanooga Chapter of Founding Forward, a national organization formerly known as Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge. They recently went through a merger with the Legacy Union Foundation which shares their mission and vision and are now known as Founding Forward.
Mrs. Fields holds a B.S. and M.S. in Education and has 43 years of experience as a teacher and educational diagnostician, including 10 years homeschooling her two daughters. She teaches five high school social studies courses and chairs the Social Studies Department at Hilger Higher Learning. She also is the faculty director/lead teacher at Signal Mountain Christian Homeschool Co-op, where she teaches history, Bible, and 2nd/3rd-year Latin for a group of middle school students.
Additionally, Mrs. Fields continues her private practice as a learning specialist and educational diagnostician. She has been awarded the Chattanooga Chapter of Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge Distinguished Teacher Award and is a Faculty Fellow with the UTC Center for Reflective Citizenship.
Mrs. Fields and her husband Jim have been married for nearly 42 years and have two daughters and sons-in-law, three granddaughters, and another on the way. She enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and has a passion for all things social studies-related.
