Zane Gates
Bryan College announces that Zane Gates, a double major in Engineering and Mathematics with a minor in Physics, has earned a perfect score on the Educational Testing Service Major Field Test in Mathematics. This rare accomplishment is achieved by fewer than one percent of test takers nationwide.
The ETS, known for widely respected exams such as the GRE and Praxis, uses the MFT to assess students’ mastery of program-specific content. The national average score for mathematics on the MFT is 157 out of 200, making Zane’s perfect score an extraordinary feat.
In addition to his academic excellence, Zane is an active member of campus life at Bryan College. He participates in the Robotics Club and serves as the president of the Rock Climbing Club. Zane began his academic career at Bryan College as a National Merit Finalist and has continued to distinguish himself through leadership and achievement.
“This is a tremendous accomplishment, and we are extremely proud of Zane’s hard work and dedication. Achievements like this showcase the high standards and supportive learning environment of the Bryan College Engineering program,” said Dr. Lyle C. Smith, III, Dean, Vogel School of Engineering.
Bryan College congratulates Zane on this outstanding achievement and celebrates the dedication of both its students and faculty.
