Richard Floyd Will Make A Difference In Nashville

  • Tuesday, October 31, 2006

I urge all voters in District 27 to elect Richard Floyd to the office of state representative. Having known Richard for 47 years, I can vouch for his abilities and character.

Throughout his career, Richard has been on both the labor and management sides of negotiations. A member of the Chattanooga Resource Leadership Class, Richard has served on the Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Red Bank Chamber of Commerce, and the Christian Business Men’s Committee. It is no doubt that these experiences have enhanced Richard’s distinct ability to work with diverse groups of people.

That Richard would offer himself to serve in state government comes as no surprise. He has been heavily involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Bethel Bible Village, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and Outreach to America’s Youth. In 1999, the Chattanooga Times Free Press awarded him the Sandy Sandlin Award for outstanding service to the community’s youth.

Richard’s integrity and determination are unmatched. If elected, Richard will attack problems with tenacity until a just solution is found. Health care and education funding reform, economic growth and development, and moral and family values top Richard’s list of concerns. If elected, Richard Floyd WILL make a difference in Nashville.
