Sarah Louise Martin Rigney, 83, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, April 12, 2007.

She was born in Daisy, Tn. on May 28, 1923. She graduated from Soddy-Daisy High School and lived in Summitville, Tn., for a number of years where she was employed by the Coffee County School System. She was a member of the Daisy Community Church where she taught Sunday School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude E. and Lula Martin; husband, Sylvester L. Rigney, Jr.; two brothers, R.C. Martin and Hugh Martin; one sister, Dorothy Card.

She is survived by her four children, Ann Mitchell (Steve) of Nashville, Layne Rigney of Hixson, Carolyn Rigney of Hixson, Mary Jane Brewster (Bill) of Somerset, Ky.; two grandsons, Mark and Bryan Brewster of Bowling Green, Ky.; two sisters, Mary Edna Clift (Norris) and Ruth Sanders of Soddy- Daisy, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 5-8 p.m. Friday and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the North Chapel.

Arrangements are made by Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, 5401 Hwy 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
