Bandit is playful and fun, and for more than a year has been yearning for a new home to call his own. Though he is only a few years old, he is the elder statesman at the kennel, having been there longer than any other dog.

Kennel workers say Bandit is good on a leash and gets along with other dogs. He is a mix of Australian Shepherd and has a smooth, short coat of grey, white and merle coloration.

Bandit is waiting for adoption at the Humane Society at 212 N. Highland Park Avenue (ID A002899436). Kennel hours are 11-4 Monday-Wednesday and Saturday. Thursday hours are 11-6. Friday hours are 12-4. The phone is 624-5302.

To volunteer at the Humane Society, call 624-5302 or email hesvolunteer@comcast.net.

FREE ADOPTIONS
Thanks to an anonymous donor, the Humane Society is now offering free adoptions on all dogs and cats that came to the kennel before August 31. Animals that have been brought to the kennel since August 31 can still be adopted with the usual $85 adoption fee.

All adopted animals have a Home Again microchip, up-to-date shots and have been spayed or neutered.
