Joyce Ann Jordan, 61, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008.

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was a member of New Life Covenant. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, but her passion in life was loving and adoring her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Emilea Pendergrass; son, Ronald Paul Horner Jr., both of Chattanooga; brother, Bill Jordan, of Ringgold, Ga.; sister, Velma Brooks, of Chattanooga; three grandchildren, Ronald Paul Horner III, Elysia Hayden Horner and Cohen Paul Horner; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Paul Grider officiating. Burial will follow in McInturf Cemetery.

The family will begin receiving friends after 3 p.m. on Thursday and prior to the service on Friday.
