Brigand Pictures, an independent film production company set to begin production on it’s Chattanooga-based action film, Last Chance: Thick As Thieves, is holding three casting calls for the film. Over the next three Sundays, residents from Hamilton County and outlying areas are invited to participate in a 15-minute audition to be placed into various speaking and non-speaking roles of the movie.
“We want to involve Chattanoogans in this film and invest in the local economy. Anyone from age five to 105 is invited to attend the casting calls,” said Casting Director Mike Click.
After striking a partnership with BR Smith, general contractor of the Chattanooga HGTV Dream House, steps have been taken to involve the local iconic home in the filming. The $1.3 million home will be a central location in the movie and Mr. Smith has also been cast to play a major role in the film.
“This is an exciting opportunity for our family, this house and the Chattanooga community. We are thrilled that the home will be a focal point in the film and I look forward to contributing as well,” said Mr. Smith.
Last Chance: Thick As Thieves is a prequel to Brigand Pictures’ groundbreaking all-digitally shot film, Last Chance, where Rob (Kristof Robinson) is sent on a mission to assassinate a mysterious old man and is forced to decide where his loyalties lie when he meets a beautiful woman with ties to his target. As he rediscovers his skills to fight for something he believes in, he realizes he must find a way to play both sides, or lose for good. Since the movie’s premiere ten months ago, Brigand has signed Last Chance for distribution to Los-Angeles based Unistar International Pictures. Production is set to begin on this film on May 5.
Director Lloyd Tate, Producer Benjamin Todd and Casting Director Mike Click will be available at the Brigand Pictures casting calls Feb. 24, March 2 and 9.
